I enjoyed going to the ETTC and our presentation from Faisil. The video clips he played were, in my opinion, spot on. Our educational institutions are not changing fast enough to keep up with the rest of the world. How can we, as educators prepare students to go out into the work force without exposing them to technology that is used everyday outside of the walls of our schools? I did find that Teachertube is not blocked at my school and there are some great educatioal videos available there.
Your tool time presentation was amazing. When we give presentation on wimba we don't see anybody so its quite easy to present but in front of so many people you have to show new techniques it' not that easy which you have done it so creatively. Great job Jeannine. Faisal very experience person to get a knowledge from. I learn so many new things.
ReplyDeleteThe role of a teacher is to motivate students to learn contemporary material and eventually prepare them for the "outside world". When everything around us evolves so fast, how can we teach kids with ancient techniques?
